魂をテーマとして描き始めたのは、個展を開いてた時にお客様から、
「どの絵も顔のように見えるね」と言われたことがきっかけでした。
それまでも抽象的な絵を描いていたのですが、これといったテーマが見つからず、悶々としていました。
魂は姿が見えません。なのでどんな形や色で描こうが正解はありません。
正解が無いということはとても自由です。加えて日本には昔から八百万の神々信仰があります。どんなものにも魂は宿るという考え方です。
魂をテーマとするならそれは無限にあるということになります
自分の描きたい魂を好きな形、色で描く。その楽しさを絵を見て感じてもらえたら嬉しいです。
また、僕は作品に属性や言霊などを作品のキャラクターとして設定しています。
